Horrible... I'll give you the short version. There were stains and strange "animal death" odors throughout the room. We left for food and came back 20 min later to find the owner Brad in our room with NO EXPLANATION why he was in there. We told him to give us our money back for the second day that we regretfully paid for in advance and he told us he would go to the bank and be right back. NEVER SAW HIM AGAIN. We left the place and cut our losses. Stay away from this place.

This place is a complete dump. The owner is rude and his kids run around the place screaming. The rooms are dirty with bugs. This plus I was overcharged and never got a response from the owner on this. Stay away from this place!
This is a roadside motel. It cost my wife and I $110 for one night. I think it could have been a little cheaper. The room was dated, but nice. Not dirty nor smelly. The room had a microwave, refrigerator, and television. The nice lady that was on duty offered to show us the room before we decided.
My fiancé and I stayed at Pine Knot on April 19, we paid for 2 nights up front with cash. The morning of April 20th we received a call regarding a family emergency and had to leave first thing in the morning, before 9am. We were unable to find the owner, Bradley, so we called & told him our situation. He reported he was in Cadillac & would have "no problem" mailing us a refund. We have called several times requesting our refund of $110 & have heard "it's on the way, I mailed it at the beginning of last week" & more recently "I am a man of my word, I will send it out first thing Monday morning (June 3). It is now June 9, close to 2 months from when we stayed & still do not have our money back. Apparently this man is not the family man he acts to be & I hope he is not teaching his sons this unethical behavior.
Would I stay again? Absolutely.
