The owners of this place are extremely accommodating and understanding. The cabins are clean and cute as can be. My son loved the loft bed, though I would recommend a smaller ladder than the metal one being used now.
One other issue was that the grills for the cabins were rusted and falling apart. One had a huge hole in the bottom so it wouldn't hold charcoal and another had rusty joints in the legs so Everytime you moved it, it fell apart.
Honestly, this place could use a little maintenance and upkeep, but overall we were not displeased with our visit. For the low price, it was well worth the stay!
I had a very nice relaxing time. The staff were all very friendly & informative. If I needed any help, they were there to do that, as I have a walking disability. If something needed fixing, or replaced, I'd just call up, & they would take care of it. Campers around me were also friendly! Thank you for a great time!
The little general store doesn't have too much, but toilet paper is free for cabin guests.
Mom and pop, clean, comfortable and affordable, wish they were open in the winter, a family place, Dan and Shirley are great
The campground is small but the campers can swim in the hotel's pool. The sites aren't very big either, but large enough for everyone/camper camping.
The bath house is an issue though. The lounge area was nice, but the bathrooms were filthy. My husband, son, and I only used one shower, which was in the women's bathroom because of how dirty they were. One of the toilets in the men's bathroom didn't work well and one shower in the women's didn't get hot, btw it costs $1 for hot water. You definitely get enough for a nice shower with it, but the coin dispenser for hot water was definitely something I'd never seen before.
I would NOT recommend this place to anyone! I called and reserved our site and then called a few days before arrival to confirm and they didn't have our reservation! We showed up and someone else was on the site we were told to camp on not to mention there was no way a 28ft camper would fit and I specifically asked several times when confirming to ensure our camper would have room! We then called up to the Check in to tell them that our site had someone else on it and they told us to go to another site! There was no way our camper was going to fit on that site! We asked for our money back and I had to wait 15 minutes while the guy had his face one inch from the computer screen and reeked of alcohol! While asking for our money back he sat outside blowing smoke on us! Terrible management and very run down campground! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND STAYING HERE! We were able to find a site at Timberline Campground and they were wonderful!
Nice quiet park on the Platte river, good location. We did not use the facilities due to having full hook ups, unlike previous reviews the pool was clear and maintained. The owner appears to have a vision disability. Location and price is fair for full hook up park. If you are looking for a resort that is, a cement environment this place is likely not for you....it is maintained in a natural environment ...which I personally prefer!!!
